Duties and Responsibilities

DIRECTOR OF INSTITUTE

a) Appointment: The Director of the Institute is appointed for three years by the Rector upon the recommendation of the Dean of the relevant faculty. In institutes affiliated to the Rectorate, this appointment is made directly by the rector. The Director whose term has expired can be reappointed. Rector and dean make necessary consultations with the relevant faculty members when making suggestions and appointments.

The principal has at most two Vice Directors to be appointed for three years from among the salaried lecturers working at the institute. The Director of Institute can replace Vice Directors when necessary. When the duty of the Director of Institute ends, the duties of the Vice Directors also come to an end.

The action to be taken in deputizing for the Director of Institute or in the vacancy of the directorate is the same as in the deans.

b) Duties, powers and responsibilities: The Director of Institute fulfills the duties assigned to the Deans by the Law No. 2547 in terms of the institute.

 

BOARD OF INSTITUTE

a) Establishment and Functioning: Board of Institute; under the chairmanship of the Director of Institute, it consists of the Vice Directors and the Heads of the departments in the institute.

b) Duties: They fulfill the duties assigned to the Board of Faculty  by the Law No. 2547 in terms of the institute.

 

ADMINISTRIVE BOARD OF INSTITUTE

a) Establishment and operation: The  Administrive Board of Institute's; Under the chairmanship of the Director of institute, the vice principals consist of Vice Directors and three faculty members to be elected by the Board of Institute for three years from among six candidates nominated by the Director of Institute .

b) Duties: They fulfill the duties assigned to the Administrative Board of Faculty by the Law No. 2547 in terms of the institute.
